چکیده
cytes during anti-T lymphocyte therapy might define a subgroup of transplant recipients at risk for PrLD. Monitoring the percentage of CD19+ lymphocytes during anti-T cell therapy allowed early modification of the immunosuppressive and antiviral regimen. apparently with favorable alteration in the lymphoproliferative process. This preliminary experience suggests that reduction in overall immunosuppression with concomitant initiation of antiviral therapy for patients with elevated levels of circulating CD19+ B lymphocytes may positively impact the natural history of PJ'LD. Although more extensive evaluation, including larger clinical trials, must validate our findings, peripheral B lymphocyte analysis using mAb and flow cytometry may represent an effective screening strategy . of patients at risk for PJ'LD.

ABO-Incompatible Living Donor Liver Transplantation from Hepatitis B Core Antibody Positive Donor to Hepatitis C Liver Cirrhosis Recipient: A Case Report
Herein, we describe an extremely rare experience of a patient with liver cirrhosis from hepatitis C virus (LC-HCV) who underwent an ABO-incompatible living donor liver transplantation (ABO-I-LDLT) using a hepatitis B core antibody (HBc-Ab) positive donor's liver graft. A 47-year-old Japanese woman with end stage LC-HCV, as a recipient, was preoperatively administered rituximab, mycophenolate mo...
متن کاملA 10-year experience of liver transplantation for hepatitis C: analysis of factors determining outcome in over 500 patients.
OBJECTIVE To determine the factors affecting the outcome of orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) for end-stage liver disease caused by hepatitis C virus (HCV) and to identify models that predict patient and graft survival. SUMMARY BACKGROUND DATA The national epidemic of HCV infection has become the leading cause of hepatic failure that requires OLT. Rapidly increasing demands for OLT and d...
متن کاملبررسی تأثیر عفونت هپاتیت ویروسی B و C بر بقای کلیه پیوندی در بیماران دریافتکننده کلیه
Background and Aim: Chronic liver disease and its complications are major problems in renal transplant recipients. Hepatitis B and C virus infections are currently the main causes of chronic liver disease in this group, and these may affect allograft outcome. Whether hepatitis B and C virus infections after renal transplantation adversely affect graft and patient survival, remains controver...
متن کاملIL28B polymorphisms of both recipient and donor cooperate to influence IFN treatment response in HCV recurrence after liver transplantation, but IL28B SNPs of the recipient play a major role in IFN-induced blocking of HCV replication.
Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) of the IL28B locus are associated with a positive response to pegylated interferon-alpha and ribavirin (pegIFN-alpha/RBV) treatment of HCV-infected patients. This study evaluated the association between SNPs rs12980275, rs12979860 and rs8099917 and treatment outcome of HCV recurrent infection in HCV-positive patients who underwent liver transplant. We aime...
متن کاملAssociation of IL28B SNPs rs12979860 and rs8099917 on Hepatitis C Virus-RNA Status in Donors/Recipients of Living Donor Liver Transplantation
To investigate the effect of IL28B single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) (rs8099917 and rs12979860) in the donors and recipients on the outcome of Hepatitis C virus-RNA clearance after living donor liver transplantation (LDLT). The rs8099917 and rs12979860 genotypes in 50 donor and recipients pairs were explored on the pre-operative day (POD) and post-operative day 30 (POD30). There was a sign...
